PlayNow Saskatchewan arrived in 2022, the newest provincial site in Canada. Nineteen is the age. Here is where the offshore sites fit.
Until 2022, Saskatchewan had no provincial online casino at all. If you wanted to play slots from Regina on a Tuesday night, the offshore sites were the only option, and for most of the people reading this that is still the habit. Then the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) partnered with BCLC and launched PlayNow Saskatchewan on the same platform BC and Manitoba use. It is the youngest provincial site in the country, and the one that arrived after most of its players had already picked somewhere else.

The bottom row is the one people ask about. Playing at a Curacao casino from Saskatoon is not something the law addresses; the law addresses whoever runs or promotes gambling inside Canada without provincial authority. The player is not in the sentence. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice, only the position as we understand it, and nothing in it changed when PlayNow Saskatchewan launched.
Nineteen
Saskatchewan's legal gambling age is 19. Offshore footers usually say 18+, and the site will take a deposit from an 18-year-old. It will not pay one out once it sees a Saskatchewan driver's licence at KYC, and the balance usually goes with the account. Wait the year.
What "no regulator" costs
Here is the practical version. A withdrawal at an offshore site goes into "pending", then "processing", then either into your account or into a request for more documents. If it stalls there, SIGA cannot help you and neither can anyone else in the province. Your complaint goes to the casino's live chat, then to the licence holder named in the footer. That is why we give the licence its own section in every review and tell you what it is worth. Rolling Slots and Need for Spin: Curacao eGaming licences, Cyprus-registered operators. SpinMills: Curacao GCB, licence OGL/2024/112/0974, which you can look up. Spinlander: Anjouan, a light-touch licence, and the Spinlander review is blunt about what that means in a dispute.
Deposits from a Saskatchewan account
Interac e-Transfer works from any Canadian bank or credit union account, and Saskatchewan has plenty of the latter. The transfer does not carry a province; the casino sees an e-Transfer and nothing else. SpinMills listed Interac in its cashier before we signed up, next to Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and a row of crypto options. Rolling Slots and Need for Spin did not show a method list before registration. Spinlander showed cards, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard and crypto. The Interac guide covers the daily limit your bank applies to outgoing e-Transfers and why withdrawals back to Interac take longer.
Set the currency to CAD on the registration form. All four of these sites list it. Leave the default and a site that writes "$" with no C will hold your money in USD or EUR, and the conversion fee lands on your bank statement every time you deposit. While you are on that form, check the country field; we have seen it default to the wrong country.
KYC
The first withdrawal is when the site asks who you are. A photo of your Saskatchewan driver's licence or provincial photo ID, a bill or bank statement with your address, and sometimes a picture of the card you used. Spinlander describes it as one-time KYC with payouts 1 to 3 days after. Send sharp photos with all four corners visible and it is one-time. Send a blurry one and you will be doing it again on a Friday night.
Ontario
Ontario is the exception to all of this: a regulated private market, none of our sites registered in it, and our links blocked for Ontario residents. See the Ontario page.
