WHAT IT IS
Deadwood in short
Deadwood is a Nolimit City western from May 2020. Five reels shaped 3-4-4-4-3, 576 ways, and wilds on the middle reels that nudge to fill the reel and grow a multiplier as they move. The default RTP is 96.03% and the cap is 13,950x. The studio calls the volatility extreme, and that is fair.
Canadians search for it because of the bonus-buy clips and because the xNudge wilds make the base game hit harder than most. Know the deal going in. Free spins come about once every 200 spins, and plenty of them pay little.
HOW IT PLAYS
Base game and symbols
Wins pay left to right across 576 ways. Low symbols are card ranks; the premiums are the townsfolk. The Hunter wild lands on reels 2, 3 and 4 and nudges up or down to fill its reel. Each nudge adds 1 to its multiplier, and if two or three wilds land, their multipliers add together on any win they touch.
Sheriff badges on reels 1 and 5 trigger the Shoot Out in the base game: the low symbols on the three middle reels turn wild for that spin. It does not happen often. When it does, it is the best thing the base game can do.
The free spins rate is about one in 200 spins. At C$0.50 that is C$100 of spins on average before a bonus, with no promise it pays. Most casino bonuses cap the stake at about C$5 to C$7 a spin and exclude bonus buys, so on bonus money you play it straight and hope the base wilds carry you.

Gunslinger Spins keep wild multipliers for the whole round
Shoot Out free spins: 2 sheriff badges plus 3 scatters give 10 spins
Bonus buy at 71x (free spins) or 750x (Shoot Out spins)
THE FEATURE
Bonus round
Three buffalo skull scatters let you pick: 8 Gunslinger Spins, where Hunter wild multipliers carry over and keep growing for the whole round, or 8 Hunter Spins, where at least one Hunter wild lands every spin. Two sheriff badges plus three scatters in the base game unlock the Shoot Out versions, 10 spins of either type, with the badges locked in place. The buy costs 71x for standard free spins and 750x for Shoot Out spins.
A dead Gunslinger round is eight spins of wilds landing on nothing, the multiplier climbing with no line under it. That is the common outcome, not the rare one. The 750x buy can do the same thing.
OUR TAKE
Should you play Deadwood?
Play it on real money with a bankroll that can handle 300 empty spins, and if you like base games that can still surprise you. Skip it for bonus wagering, a C$30 deposit or anything you need to last. For the same studio a notch lower on volatility, Punk Rocker is lighter. For another western with sticky-wild free spins, Wanted Dead or a Wild is the one people compare it to.

Gunslinger Spins keep wild multipliers for the whole round, so they can build to big wins but often end small. Hunter Spins guarantee at least one wild every spin, which gives steadier returns. Gunslinger suits a big balance and patience; Hunter suits a smaller one.
02What is the max win in Deadwood?
13,950x your stake, by the studio's figure. At C$1 a spin that is C$13,950. It needs stacked wild multipliers in a free spins round, and the studio rates the game extreme volatility, so the cap is very rare.
03Can I play Deadwood with a casino bonus in Canada?
You can, with the stake under the usual C$5 to C$7 cap and without the bonus buy, which most terms exclude. It is a poor wagering game: free spins come about once every 200 spins and the volatility eats a bonus balance fast. Pick something steadier for that.
RTP, max win and release date checked against bigwinboard.com, nolimitcity.com, slotcatalog.com in October 2026. Casinos can run a different RTP build; the game's own info page shows the one you are on.
