WHAT IT IS

Money Train 3 in short

Money Train 3 is the September 2022 entry in Relax Gaming's hold-and-win series, and the one that raised the cap to 100,000x. Five reels, four rows, 40 lines paying both ways, and a base game that is mostly a waiting room for the Money Cart bonus. The default RTP is 96.10%, with the buys quoted at 96.50%.

Canadians search for it because it is the slot where one golden symbol can turn a dead bonus into a huge one, and because the four buy prices, from 20x to 500x, let people pick their own risk. The base game is thin on purpose. If you do not like hold-and-win rounds, nothing on this page will change your mind.

HOW IT PLAYS

Base game and symbols

Forty lines on a 5 by 4 grid, paid left to right and right to left. The characters are the high symbols, the card values are the low end, and a gas mask is the wild. Base-game wins are small and the pace is quick. You are not here for them.

Two things happen in the base game that matter. First, streak respins: on a losing spin a random symbol can lock in place and the reels respin for as long as a new copy of that symbol keeps landing, with 1x, 2x and 3x multiplier symbols that add together on the win. Second, scatters. Three or more start the Money Cart bonus, and the base game is largely a scatter hunt.

The buy menu is where most of the money moves. For 20x you start the bonus with one respin instead of three, 50x gives two, 100x is the normal round, and 500x starts you with one guaranteed persistent symbol. Most casino bonuses cap the stake at about C$5 to C$7 a spin and exclude all four buys, so on bonus funds you spin at the normal stake and hope. On real money, remember that a 100x buy at C$1 is a C$100 ticket and that a round paying under 50x is normal.

Features

  • Streak respins: a random symbol sticks on a losing spin and respins while more of it land
  • Money Cart bonus from 3 scatters: hold-and-win with 3 respins that reset on every new symbol
  • Reels expand to 6 and then 7 as columns fill
  • Special symbols: Collector, Sniper, Collector-Payer, Necromancer, Absorber and more, plus persistent versions
  • Bonus buy at 20x, 50x, 100x or 500x stake
THE FEATURE

Bonus round

Three scatters open the Money Cart. The triggering symbols reveal values, you get three respins, and every new symbol that lands resets the count to three. Fill a column and a sixth reel opens; fill that and a seventh does. Special symbols change the maths: a Collector adds up every value on screen, a Sniper doubles three to eight symbols, a Collector-Payer picks three to five symbols and adds its value to them, a Necromancer brings used specials back, and the persistent versions repeat their job every spin. A persistent Collector on spin two is what people buy the 500x option to see.

A dead bonus is three respins, two 1x symbols, no special, and the round ends on about 5x your stake. On a 100x buy that is most of the money gone in under a minute.

OUR TAKE

Should you play Money Train 3?

Play it if you like hold-and-win rounds with real decisions inside them and you can afford a run of dead buys. It is a real-money game with a bankroll of a few hundred dollars behind it, not a C$30 deposit. Skip it for bonus wagering; the base game is too thin to clear anything and the buys are banned. Big Bamboo gives you a base game with more in it, and Wanted Dead or a Wild is the other high-ceiling western people pick instead.

QUESTIONS

Money Train 3: questions

Short answers, no fluff.

01Which Money Train 3 bonus buy should I pick?

The 100x buy is the standard round with three respins. The 20x and 50x versions start with fewer respins and die faster. The 500x option guarantees one persistent symbol, which is the only buy that changes the shape of the round rather than just the price. All of them sit around 96.50% RTP.

02Can I play Money Train 3 with a casino bonus in Canada?

Usually yes, but every buy option is excluded while a bonus is active and the stake is capped at about C$5 to C$7 a spin. The base game pays little, so clearing 35x wagering on it from a small deposit is slow. Pick a lower-variance line slot for that job.

03Is the 100,000x max win realistic?

No. It needs a seventh reel open, several persistent specials working together, and a long run of respins. It is the hard cap on the round. A good bonus pays a few hundred times the stake; most pay a fraction of that, and some pay almost nothing.

RTP, max win and release date checked against casinos.com, gambling.com, slotcatalog.com in October 2026. Casinos can run a different RTP build; the game's own info page shows the one you are on.
