How to deposit at a casino with Interac e-Transfer
The six steps between clicking Interac in the cashier and seeing the money in your casino balance, and the two places it usually goes wrong.

An Interac e-Transfer deposit at an offshore casino is not the same as sending C$40 to a friend for pizza. The money does not go to the casino. It goes to a payment processor, which then tells the casino to credit you. Once you know that, the odd payee names and the short delay make sense. Here is the whole thing in order.
1. Open the cashier and pick Interac
Log in, click Deposit, and look for Interac e-Transfer in the list. Not every site shows it. Of the casinos we checked, Red Dog prints Interac at C$20 to C$2,000 per deposit and SpinMills lists Interac next to Apple Pay and Google Pay. The others either hid the cashier until after sign-up or did not list it at all. Our Interac casinos page has the full list.
2. Enter the amount
Type the amount in the casino's currency. At Red Dog that is plain dollars; pick CAD at sign-up and the figure is Canadian dollars. Stay inside the casino's printed range and inside your bank's daily cap, which we get to below.
3. The casino hands you off to e-Transfer
Two things can happen here. Some sites open an Interac page where you choose your bank and log in through a secure frame. Others e-mail you a request-for-money, or give you an e-mail address and a reference code to send a standard e-Transfer to. Either way, write down the reference code if one is shown. It is how the processor matches your money to your account.
4. Approve it in your bank app
Open your banking app, find the pending request or send the transfer to the address you were given, and approve it. Most Canadian banks have auto-deposit turned on for these processors, so there is no security question to answer. If one is asked for, the casino page tells you what to type.
5. The payee is a processor, not the casino
The name on the request will be a numbered company or a payments brand you have never heard of. That is normal. Offshore casinos cannot hold a Canadian Interac account under their own name, so a third party does it. Match the amount and the reference, send it, and keep the confirmation screenshot. Do not send a second transfer because the name looked wrong.
6. Credited on confirmation
Your balance updates when the processor confirms the transfer, usually within a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour on a busy evening. Refresh the cashier page rather than clicking Deposit again.
Bank-side daily limits
Your bank caps how much you can send by e-Transfer in a day, and many Canadian banks set that at C$3,000. Some set it lower for newer accounts. The casino's own cap (C$2,000 per deposit at Red Dog) and your bank's cap both apply, and the lower one wins. Check your limit in the app before a larger deposit, because a declined transfer at the bank end can leave the casino side showing a pending deposit for a while.
What goes wrong
- The transfer bounces. You approved it, the money left your account, and then came back a few hours later. The processor rejected it, usually because the reference code was missing or the amount did not match. Wait for the refund to land, then start again from the cashier with a fresh request. Do not resend the old one.
- The money left and nothing was credited. Give it an hour. Then send live chat the Interac reference number, the amount and the time. The processor can trace it with those three things and nothing else.
- Your bank blocked it. A few banks flag transfers to gambling processors. The transfer never leaves. Ask the bank, not the casino.
- You deposited more than you meant to. Interac transfers are final once accepted. The casino can only pay it back as a withdrawal, after KYC and the pending period, and at Red Dog that means a $150 minimum.
Depositing by Interac does not mean you withdraw by Interac. Some sites do, some pay you by bank wire or crypto instead, and all of them pay slower than they take. Read our withdrawal guide before the first deposit, not after, and the payment methods page for the other options. If you want to try a small Interac deposit, Red Dog prints its limits in the cashier before you sign up.

Questions and answers
Short and specific.
01Why does the Interac request come from a company I do not know?
Because the casino uses a payment processor to hold its Canadian Interac account. The processor's name is on the request. Match the amount and reference and send it; that is the expected flow.
02How long does an Interac casino deposit take to show up?
Usually a few minutes after your bank approves it, occasionally up to an hour. If it is still missing after that, send live chat the Interac reference number.
03What is the maximum I can deposit by Interac?
Two caps: the casino's (Red Dog prints C$20 to C$2,000 per deposit) and your bank's, which for many banks is around C$3,000 a day. The lower number applies.
