WHAT IT IS
Le Bandit in short
Le Bandit is Hacksaw Gaming's cluster game from August 2023, a 6 by 5 grid where five or more touching symbols pay, winners cascade off, and the positions they leave behind light up as golden squares. The point of the game is turning those squares into coins, which only happens when a rainbow symbol lands on the same spin.
Canadians search for it because it is the Hacksaw game you can play on a normal budget. Medium volatility, a hit rate around one spin in three, and three bonus tiers that scale with how many scatters you land. The 10,000x cap is there, but this is the studio's soft game, and that is the appeal.
HOW IT PLAYS
Base game and symbols
Five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically form a cluster and pay. The cluster vanishes, symbols drop in from above, and the grid is checked again until nothing wins. Each position that took part in a win gets a golden outline, and those outlines stay lit for the rest of that spin's cascade chain.
Lit squares do nothing until a rainbow lands. When one does, every lit square becomes a coin: bronze from 0.2x to 4x your stake, silver from 5x to 20x, gold from 25x to 500x. Clovers that land multiply the coins next to them by 2x to 10x, and pots of gold collect every coin value on screen into one payout. A rainbow on a grid with fifteen lit squares is a good spin. A rainbow on a grid with none is just a pretty animation, and you will see a few of those.
Spins are quick and the cascades keep the balance ticking. The BonusHunt mode costs 3x your stake per spin and raises the odds of a bonus; the Rainbow mode costs 50x per spin and guarantees a rainbow. Most casino bonuses cap the stake at C$5 to C$7 a spin and exclude every buy option, which includes both of those, so on bonus money play it plain.
Features
Cascades: winning clusters vanish and new symbols drop in
Golden squares: winning positions light up, a rainbow on the same spin turns them into coins worth 0.2x to 500x
Four-leaf clovers multiply neighbouring coins by 2x to 10x
Luck of the Bandit: 3 scatters give 8 spins; All That Glitters Is Gold: 4 scatters give 12
Treasure at the End of the Rainbow: 5 scatters, 12 spins, a rainbow on every spin
Bonus buy at 100x or 250x stake, plus FeatureSpins at 3x or 50x per spin
THE FEATURE
Bonus round
Three scatters start Luck of the Bandit with 8 spins, and the golden squares now stay lit between spins until a rainbow cashes them in. Two more scatters add 2 spins, three add 4. Land four at once, in the base game or by upgrading inside the first bonus, and you get All That Glitters Is Gold with 12 spins, where the squares stay lit for the whole round and can be cashed in more than once. Five scatters on one base-game spin gives Treasure at the End of the Rainbow: 12 spins, a rainbow on every one, bronze coins removed. You cannot buy that one.
A dead Luck of the Bandit is 8 spins where the squares light up nicely and no rainbow comes. You get the cluster wins only, well under 10x your stake. On a 100x buy that is a C$90 hole at C$1 a spin.
OUR TAKE
Should you play Le Bandit?
Play it if you want a Hacksaw game that does not need a 200x buy to be interesting, or if you are clearing a bonus and want cascades without the very high volatility. Good for a C$30 session at C$0.20 a spin. Skip it if you want the studio's big swings; this is deliberately the mild one. Jammin' Jars is the cluster game with wandering multipliers if you want more action per spin, and RIP City is Hacksaw's other medium-volatility pick.

Every position that takes part in a winning cluster gets a golden outline. Nothing happens until a rainbow symbol lands on the same spin; then each lit square becomes a coin worth 0.2x to 500x your stake and the coins are paid out. In the base game the outlines clear when the spin ends.
02Can I play Le Bandit with a casino bonus in Canada?
Yes, and it is a sensible pick for it. Keep the stake under the casino's cap, usually C$5 to C$7 a spin, and leave the buy menu and both FeatureSpins modes alone, since bonus terms almost always exclude them. Medium volatility means the balance moves slowly enough to clear wagering.
03Is the 250x buy for All That Glitters Is Gold worth it?
It buys 12 spins with the squares kept lit for the whole round, and the published RTP on that buy is a shade above the base game. That is still a 250x ticket. At C$1 a spin it is C$250 for one round, and a round with no rainbow until spin eleven pays far less than that.
RTP, max win and release date checked against hacksawgaming.com, olbg.com in October 2026. Casinos can run a different RTP build; the game's own info page shows the one you are on.
