WHAT IT IS
Sugar Rush in short
Sugar Rush is the June 2022 cluster game from Pragmatic Play that Sugar Rush 1000 was built on. A 7 by 7 grid of sweets, five or more touching to win, tumbles after every cluster, and the mechanic that made it: positions that win twice in one spin start a multiplier that doubles every time they win again, up to 128x. The default RTP is 96.50% and the cap is 5,000x.
Canadians search for it because it is the quieter of the two Sugar Rush games. Same grid, same spots, but the ceiling is 5,000x instead of 25,000x and there is no 500x super bonus. If the 1000 version felt like it was built for streamers, this one feels like it was built for a C$30 session on a Tuesday.
HOW IT PLAYS
Base game and symbols
Five or more matching sweets touching horizontally or vertically form a cluster and pay. The cluster vanishes, candy drops from above, and the grid is checked again until nothing wins. Cluster size drives the payout: five is the floor, 15 or more is the top band, and a big cluster of a mid symbol is a decent base-game result on its own.
The multiplier spots are the game. When a winning symbol vanishes, its position gets marked. If a later win in the same spin covers a marked spot, a multiplier appears there: 2x the first time, doubling on each further win at that spot, to a cap of 128x. Several multiplied spots in one cluster are added together. In the base game the marks clear when the spin ends, so a chain that reaches 8x on one spot is a good spin and 32x is a rare one.
It plays quickly, and a 7 by 7 grid means a lot of movement per spin. The feature triggers naturally about once every 323 spins by the published figure. Most casino bonuses cap the stake at about C$5 to C$7 a spin and exclude the 100x buy, so on bonus money you are waiting for three scatters, and that is a long wait.
Features
Tumble wins on a 7 by 7 grid
Multiplier spots: a position that wins twice starts at 2x and doubles each time, up to 128x
Free spins: 3 to 7 scatters give 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 spins; multipliers never reset
Retrigger inside the round adds spins on the same scale

THE FEATURE
Bonus round
Three to seven scatters give 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 free spins, and more scatters inside the round add spins on the same scale. The change from the base game is that the marked spots and their multipliers stay for the whole feature. A spot that reached 4x on spin two is still 4x on spin nine, and the grid fills in slowly. The last third of a good round is where the clusters start landing on 16x and 32x spots.
A dead bonus is 10 spins of small clusters that never repeat on the same position, so you finish with a scattering of 2x marks and a return under 10x. On a 100x buy at C$1 that is a C$90 loss, and it happens far more often than the clips suggest.
OUR TAKE
Should you play Sugar Rush?
Play it if you want the Sugar Rush mechanic with a gentler ceiling, you like cluster games that build slowly, and you are on real money with patience. Skip it for bonus wagering; the base game is a long wait for the feature. If you want the bigger numbers, Sugar Rush 1000 is the same grid with a 25,000x cap and a much drier ride. For a Pragmatic cluster game that pays in the base game, Fruit Party does more with the same budget.

01What is the difference between Sugar Rush and Sugar Rush 1000?
The grid, the clusters and the multiplier spots are the same. In the original each spot tops out at 128x and the max win is 5,000x. The 1000 version takes the spots to 1,024x, the cap to 25,000x, and adds a 500x super bonus that starts free spins with multipliers already on the grid.
02Can I play Sugar Rush with a casino bonus in Canada?
Normally yes, with the stake capped at about C$5 to C$7 a spin and the 100x bonus buy excluded while bonus money is active. The base game pays little without the feature, which lands about once in 323 spins, so it is a slow way to clear wagering.
03Do the multipliers reset in Sugar Rush?
In the base game, yes, at the end of every spin. In free spins, no: every marked spot and its multiplier stays for the whole round and keeps doubling when a win lands on it. That is why the bonus is worth far more than the base game here.
